Every time I receive the email letting me know the dates customization opens for my new FabFitFun box, I get super excited. Like, set an alarm on my phone, excited. Once I saw the options for this season, I became even more excited for the FabFitFun Spring 2019 subscription box to arrive. There was just so many wonderful items to choose from. Not as much make-up, more lifestyle products to enjoy instead. Examples are a backpack, robe, diffuser, S’well water bottle, jump rope, sunglasses, picnic set, detox brush, measuring spoons, and other skin items and make-up. So many amazing items to look forward to receiving.
First, the three items everyone received that were a surprise to us all. These items weren’t customizable so they were unexpected.
Ouai Leave In Cnditioner
I already use a leave-in conditioner in my hair every time I wash it, and I have most of my life. Over the years I have tried different ones but I always go back to my trusted ABBA because it leaves my hair the softest and the most manageable. But it never hurts to try this Ouai (website) one out.
Dr. Brandt Skincare Needles No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel
I have never used anything but concealer on the dark circles under my eyes. It doesn’t always work so well though so I’m really excited to try this Dr. Brandt (website) gel to see how it works. It comes out as a sort of salmon colour but it blended into my skin tone very well. I’ve only used this once and in certain lighting it looked like it worked and in other lighting it didn’t. I’ll keep trying it though to see how it continues to work.
Manna Kadar Champagne Body Scrub
I love body scrubs and I really enjoyed the last one I received so I was very excited to try this Manna Kadar (website) one. I quite like it too. It wasn’t very oily which means the shower floor isn’t as slippery but it also means it doesn’t provide as much moisturizing. It still moisturized my skin though and left it feeling softer and smoother. It also has a hint of a very subtle citrus scent left behind. It is quite minimal so definitely not overpowering in any way.

Show Me Your Mumu Brie Robe
I chose this robe because, well, it looks so pretty. And I don’t have a light robe so I thought it was a great opportunity to get something useful and pretty. I opened it up and immediately fell in love with this Show Me Your Mumu (website) short sleeved, warm season, robe. The pattern is so lovely and the material is light enough to cover without really giving a lot away. It is a ‘One Size Fits All’ robe but it actually seems to work quite well. Your height and weight obviously decides how long or short it will be or even how much of you it will fit around. But no matter, it will still provide cover for you.

Unplug Meditation Aromatherapy Diffuser
I chose this as an add-on for an addition $10 because I love the idea of having a small cordless diffuser I can move around my apartment into an area or room I am currently in. Without having to make sure to find an available electrical socket to plug it in.
Turns out this Unplug Diffuser (website) is not a wireless diffuser at all. You have to plug it in to use it. It comes with a USB plug but it doesn’t come with a power adapter. So, unless you have a portable power source or a computer beside this diffuser, it won’t work.
Obviously I am disappointed because I misunderstood what I was ordering but I am also disappointed with the power source. That being said, I will find an extra iPhone jack laying around so I can use this diffuser. I just wish it was wireless.

I went with the “Choose For Me!’ option for this customization because I honestly didn’t want any of these products. I have a smaller head and face so sunglasses rarely fit me or even look good on me. I have to hunt for them and really only a certain shape work. I never go on picnics cause I hate bugs, and while Korres is normally a brand I jump at, my skin hates rose so I can’t use this one. So, we’ll see what the lovely FabFitFun people choose for me and who I decide to give it to.
I received the Quay Australia Vivienne Oversized Aviator Sunglasses in Black/Smoke (website) but I will be sharing them with someone else.

Lavido Aromatic Body Lotion in Mandarin, Orange, & Bergamot
I really wanted to choose the Mystery Choice on this one but I do love me some body lotions and I really thought I would like the scent of it. Plus, apparently if you choose the ‘Mystery Choice’ you can’t add on one of the other options for an additional $10 so I couldn’t have both.
This Lavido Aromatic (website) lotion is thick, smooth, and so soft, with a wonderful citrus scent. It also absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving any greasy residue behind. I quite like it. After wearing it for a while I did notice a bit of a detergent or flowery undertone in the scent but nothing overwhelming. I was still enjoying it.

Well, if you read this site I’m sure you could figure out my choice without me saying anything. I’m never impressed with the jewellery products from FabFitFun and I love, love, love my S’well (website) bottles. So yes, I went with this S’well insulated stainless steel water bottle. Eleven by Venus Jump Rope
I think I would have enjoyed a ‘Mystery Choice’ for this one because it was another one of those tough decisions to make. In the end, I went with the Eleven by Venus (website) jump rope. Adding more exercise equipment to my arsenal is never a bad thing and I don’t currently have one of these. The jumping rope is quite long which means it works for a variety of heights so I can just wrap it around my hand to use it seeing as how short I am.
